Great News! V Math is up and running again thanks to our wonderful PTA. Same usernames and passwords. Our next vocabulary test will be on Friday, Dec. 5. There are 15 words, each will be defined in class utilizing our online dictionary, context clues, and by developing examples. The vocabulary words come from our novel Johnny Tremain. Please preread whenever you choose or as I indicate in class. As always, feel free to reread, as this novel in particular has some extensive vocabulary. Check out our Quia link for Johnny Tremain for reinforcement, we will be doing so in class as well. We have begun Forces and Motion in Science. We are working very hard to pace ourselves accordingly. Follow along with my guidelines and with what is done in class, and you will learn and understand these higher level concepts. We are using many resources for Science. Our Harcourt Science textbook, Sciencesaurus, Unitedstreaming, Promethean flip-charts, technology projects, online resources, and hands-on activities. By utilizing all of these resources to our fullest, it will help you better understand the concepts. Unit F, Chapter 2 test is our next test. The date will be Dec. 3nd, Wednesday(postponed). We will end this unit of study building roller coasters in groups. Keep up with your prereading and assignments. Please be sure to utilize eharcourt online and other quia links in order to perfect our math and science skills. FCAT explorer is now up and running and all of you now have your usernames and passwords, please use. We are working in chapter 6 for math this week. This chapter deals with collecting and analyzing data just as did chapter 5. Social Studies test chapter 7 is on Thursday. Colonial Museum will take place the week of 12/7. Please check the calendar and planner for upcoming activities and events. It gets really CRAZY fun and busy.
