BIOLOGY
Monday: Go over the safety contract and hand in tomorrow. Begin to take notes off board. Study guide handed out and due a beginning of class tomorrow. Lab tomorrow.
Tuesday: Collect study guides and safety contracts. Begin to talk about Acids and Bases. Small lab will be done.
Wednesday: Notes over the chemistry unit. begin to talk about the Atom, atomic numbers. Turn in scavenger hunt, safety contract, and study guide.
Thursday: Continue to talk about the chemistry unit. Talk about isotopes and Shells Begin discussion on ions and covalent bonds. Draw Bohr models of elements and molecules. Worksheet handout on drawing models and charts.
Friday: Work on structural models and formulas
Handout worksheet on formula writing.

Applied Biology
Monday: Begin to discuss basic chemistry. Read pages 26-28 and take class notes.
Tuesday: Hand-in your safety contract. You will get a contract to put in your notebook.
We will do a "pH test of common foods" lab.
We will continue taking notes from the book.(Outline)
Wednesday: Hand in the lab over pH. Discus in the book about ions and bonds. Start to talk about the atom
Take notes.
Thursday: Talk about isotopes and shell limits. Also talk about bonds- ionic and covalent. Draw the Bohr Models of the elements and mole. Worksheet over perodic chart and models.
Friday: Go over structural Models and formula writing. You will be recieving a handout on formula writing.

Wednesday: Hand in formula writing worksheets and check. Review for the exam tomorrow.

Tuesday: Lab on onion: cells and nucleus. Talk about the boundries: cell wall, cell membrane, and nuclear membrane.
