Course Objectives:
Photo Journalism students will be responsible for producing Patrick Henry High School's yearbook The Patriot. Students will be responsible for advertising and product sales, page layout, photography, caption writing, and article writing. Students will develop proficiency with Studio Balfour to produce spreads efficiently and to meet publication deadlines. Upon learning and practicing photography, writing, and design techniques, students will be assigned independent projects that will include photo assignments for school activities and sports as well as spreads within the yearbook that will include layout, design, and writing. Students will also be involved in sales promotion throughout the school year and will assist with distribution in the spring.
