May 2012

Hello Everyone,

The month of May finds the 6th grade traveling to ancient Rome. We will be learning about the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire. To reinforce our understanding of the Greco/Roman culture, the sixth grade will be participating in a Roman Dunch. The students will be donning Roman clothing, eating Roman delicacies, and will be entertaining each other with student-produced Greek myth skits.

In religion class we will be finishing up our study of family life and the Babylonian Captivity. In literature we will be finishing up THE ADVENTURES OF THE GREEK HEROES and participating in literature circles.

These are some important dates in May:

May 17- sports banquet
May 25- school mass
May 28- Memorial Day, no school
