-You may use the computers, phone books, personal contact, interviews, and websites to find the above information

-Use a camera to take a picture of your location (it will be used in your glog and on Google Earth)
-Log on to edu.glogster.com to create a glog about your location including all the above information you found
-We will use the Flip Camera to record our daily working agenda (this will be included in the blog for the community to see)

*The community knows about this and will be viewing to see your progress
-Use GPSs to locate Latitude/Longitude of your location
-We will explore Google Earth and then pinpoint your location with all the required information
-We will create a PSA to air on the local cable station promoting your project and your community, Portland, TN
-We will create an informational flyer about your project that will be placed in City Hall, Portland Chamber of Commerce, and the Welcome Center. This flyer will be used to promote Portland, TN and all it has to offer.
-Introduction to geocaching and geocaching.com
-You will locate geocaches around the school
-You will create a geocache to place at your location for others to find
-Your assessment will be your final glog, your participation in daily blogs, the placement of your location on Google Earth, the ability to use the different technologies we will use, and your geocache.
-A rubric will be used to get your final grade.
