The following dates are the rehearsal and concert times for our performances for this school year 2003-2004. Please enter this information in your personal calendar to be well prepared. The possibiity of an additional trip for the seventh and eight grade band members exists and will be discussed with all concerned individuals at an evening meeting in November. Currently we will use the following dates:
November 24 through November 30. Fruit sale throughout all of Thanksgiving vacation. All slips and money are due on December 1 to Mr. Weller.
January 6, two hour rehearsal for the grade 6 band from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the N.M.S. Cafetorium.
January 7, two hour rehearsal for the grade 7 and 8 band from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the N.M.S. Cafetorium.
January 8, two hour rehearsal for the jazz band from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the N.M.S. Cafetorium.
January 14, Dress rehearsal for all performing groups. This final rehearsal begins at 7 p.m. Arrive early so as to set up and be ready to perform. Dress in concert clothes (black pants, black sox and shoes, white shirt.) Ladies, if you are planning to wear a dress/skirt, it MUST be floor length. Any degree shorter than floor length is not acceptable.
January 15. Winter concert!! Performance begins at 7 p.m. sharp. Not 7:01. To be early is to be on time.
March 20. Music Marathon. Held in the Norwell Middle School Cafetorium. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
May 3 two hour rehearsal for grade 6 band, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the N.M.S. Cafetorium.
May 4 two hour rehearsal for grade 7 and 8 band, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the N.M.S. Cafetorium.
May 5 two hour rehearsal for Jazz Band, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the N.M.S. Cafetorium.
May 6 Prefestival Concert. N.M.S. cafetorium. 7:00 p.m.
May 28 Great East Music Festival/Six Flags Over New England.
June 3 Spring Concert at Norwell Middle School. 7 p.m. sharp. Concert clothes.
POSSIBLE EXCHANGE CONCERT !! Mid June for the grade 7 and 8 band and Jazz Band. More details later.
