Hello, this is Nick Givens science home page.Here i created a website for students and teachers on rocks and minerals. along with this are activities for science, i hope you enjoy it! Here are a few facts about minerals below.
There are three sorts of rocks:Igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic.
igneous- Rocks formed by the cooling of magma
sedimentary-rocks formed by pressure upon sand, mud, or silk.
metamorphic- a Rock that is put under much heat and pressure and changes into a different rock
Gems are no rocks but minerals, formed in the ground from crystals, examples are amethyst, quartz, and peridot.
diamonds are form inside of coal, from a lot of heat and pressure.
