Welcome to my website. My name is Mrs. Monica Jones, and I teach 6th grade on Cougar Hall in room 113. The subject that I teach is language arts. My teaching partners are Mrs. Leonard (math) and Mrs. Meyer (social studies and science).

I am beginning my 18th year of teaching this year. This is my tenth year at Indian Trail. I think ITMS is a wonderful school, and I am proud to be part of the tradition of excellence. I have always taught 6th grade. Before coming to Indian Trail, I taught for five years in Georgia and three in South Carolina.

I am originally from Swainsboro, GA (near Savannah). I earned my undergraduate degree at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. I received my masters from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN.

I am married and have two children and a dog. My son is thirteen, and is an eighth grader, and my daughter will be a kindergartner this year. My dog is a bichon frise and is two years old. I enjoy reading (especially mysteries and suspense, fantasy, and historical fiction), shopping (for anything except groceries!), being at the beach, gardening, cooking (sometimes!)and spending time with my family. My favorite color is pink, and I love disco music!
