Dear Parents and Students, Happy New Year! It's good to be back in school and working hard. I am so happy to see the progress everyone is making. We are working on some new things this month. We are working on a couple of plays to perform in February. This is the first time we are trying a play, so keep your fingers crossed. We will also be starting a trade book instead of reading from our reading book. We will be reading "The Landry News". I am sure everyone will enjoy the book and the change from our regular routine. Here are a few suggestions to make this year successful: 1. STUDY YOUR MULTIPLICATION FACTS 2. Read, read, read (anything you can get your hands on). 3. Stay organized, clean out your desk, folders, and backpack. 4. Carefully fill out your assignment notebook, take it home, and LOOK at it every night. Fourth graders do a lot of writing. This is a great opportunity to be creative!! Play the games listed below to practice your spelling words. You will also have fun visiting the web sites listed below. I am so happy to have all of you in my class!!! Love, Mrs. Kahn
