In the differentiated English class, we do have a different curriculum in terms of novels and vocabulary study.
In 7th and 8th grade differentiated English, students study Greek (8th) and Latin (7th) bases and then use those bases in intensive vocabulary study. These words are very sophisticated and challenging.
Quarter One: Lessons 1-3 and Review

Quarter 1: Generations: What can one generation learn from another?
Quarter 2: A Starry Home: What is our motivation for space exploration?
Quarter 3: Facing Adversity: How do we overcome obstacles?
Quarter 4: Turning Points: What can cause a sudden change in someone's life?
& Greek Mythology
Students will do first reads, close reads, and keep an evidence log for some of the units.
