I hope that you all have a safe and relaxing summer! I am so excited for the 2008-2009 school year! Our year is going to be filled with engaging activities, exciting lessons, and many great memories. I can’t wait to share this year with all of my new fourth grade students! Here are some simple ways you can prepare: Read every chance you get over the summer! Practice your multiplication facts weekly! Keep a journal of the exciting days of summer! Set 2 goals you would like to accomplish in 4th grade! Come prepared with supplies (see list below)! Visit the websites listed below to sharpen your skills! School Supply List • # 2 pencils • Large Pink Eraser • Colored Pencils • Crayons (24 count) • Markers • 1 package of red pens • 4 highlighters • Scissors • At least 5 glue sticks • Ruler (with both inches and cm) Please do not send collapsible rulers. • 5 Composition Notebooks (not spiral) • 2 One inch binders with pockets (no Trapper Keepers) • 1 package of binder dividers • 3 folders with brads and packets (1 yellow, 1 red, 1 blue) • 3 packages of wide-rule loose-leaf paper • 2 boxes of Kleenex • 3 x 5 lined index cards (1 pack) • 1 package of Expo Dry Erase Markers Boys- Please bring in 1 pack of Post-Its (approx. 3 in by 3 in) and 1 box of gallon sized Ziplocs. Girls- Please bring in 1 package of permanent markers and 1 box of quart sized Ziploc bags. *Please do not label anything. We will label, distribute, and store things accordingly. You may store your supplies in a small pencil box. It must be able to fit in your desk.
