All About Mr. Benson...
Mr. Benson is now in his fourth year of teaching at Luray Elementary School. He is still teaching Third Grade and loves the challenges that each day brings. If you didn't know it already, I am not orginally from Virginia. I grew up in Rochester, New York with my dad, mom, and 2 younger brothers.

Here are my two brothers. My brother Matt is a graduate student at West Virginia University. My brother Brian is still at Greece Athena High School, but as you can see he is not lacking in the height department.
As many of you know, I am married, and happily enjoy spending time with my wife, Mrs. Benson.
I like to do many things in my free time. I still play basketball a couple of times a week in between my busy schedule of teaching. This summer my brothers and I were able to get together and take the streets in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Our team name was the 'Da Rimwreckas' and this exactly what we did!
I also like to travel in my spare time. Can you name the two places I am seen in the pictures below?

My thoughts on education...
One hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove; But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.
