WEEK OF APRIL 19, 2004
Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to a new week! Thursday is Parent Teacher Conference Day.
In math they are really beginning to grasp the idea of problem solving- it's a lot of work! But they are taking the time to show their work and they get the right answer. We have finished the introduction to fractions and your children are loving the game format of the teaching.
In writing they are starting a unit on poetry. Some of the children are loving the reading of poems, others are rewriting poems, and some are going to start memorizing poems. They love the poems that are riddles!
In reading the students are learning to add suffixes to base words.
Be proud of them as they continue to learn new skills.!
