WEEK OF MAY 19, 2003
Dear Students and Parents,
We are on our way to writing poetry. We have finished rewriting If I were in Charge of the World by Judith Viorst. Now each child will be choosing an individual poem "an anchor poem" to rewrite. They are loving the new world of poetry!
In reading we are continuing to learn about spelling options. The 2 new sound spellings are dge and ph. They have also been listening orally to stories about the rain forest during snack.
In math we are finishing the chapter on graphing and will move on to geometry! Math is fun and they are all doing a great job!
