MATH HOMEWORK: Pages from the math book will be sent home for homework. This week we will work in chapter 19: Solid Shapes. Please make sure your child does all of the intervention, practice and vocabulary work on the pages from this online chapter at eHarcourtschool.com.  

Students - Use the username: "aguest4", and the password:

 "math" until I get your login code. You may practice all of the

 pages in the chapter and go on ahead of us if you like.

I will send home math homework from the book each day. This week we are studying Chapter 27: Numbers to 1,000.

JINGLE DANCER Please read it three times before Wednesday. Start on the weekend. This story is Realistic Fiction- a story that could really happen.This week we will learn about: Prefixes -miss and -mid; Paragraphs; Character, Setting & Plot; and Prior Knowledge.  Also, make sure to go to the site at the top that says "All Games and Internet Sites for Unit 6".

     

Read your Decodable Readers for this week and take Accelerated Reader tests on them when AR is available. I will tell you where to get them.

This section features original Englishgrammar and usage worksheets for teachers and parent-teachers to copy for their kids. Use them for teaching, reinforcement, and review. Many of these free worksheets can be used as the basis for lesson plans.

    

READING HOMEWORK:  The kids to be ready for a Reading Log check. They may use the books in my library until the media center opens. When Accelerated Reader begins, students must pass 4 AR tests per week.

 

 

DIBELS: Our goal this year is 110 words per minute to reach the 5th Stanine on the SAT.

  Read the books on the AR site, my books, your library books, 

the decodable readers, and the Science and Social Studies book 

when assigned. 

Remember to time yourself for one minute 4 times per week. 

Do not count the words that are wrong.
