Welcome to Minerva Deland English Department!
We look forward to working with you in the coming school year. The curriculum this year is exciting. It is filled with literature you will enjoy. You'll discover it to be mature and symbolic. We'll also be concentrating on: vocabulary, spelling, essay and narrative writing, research skills and more.
If you are out shopping early for supplies, please look for English supplies.You will need to have a large (at least 2 inch) three-ring binder. Also, five dividers are needed to separate our notes in the binder. You will want filler paper, pen and pencil. Then we can begin!!
Students in honors we will start with your thoughts on COLD SASSY TREE. Regents class will begin with short stories and then THE ODYSSEY.
