Welcome to AP American Government! This page is designed to help students review for the AP American Government exam. This year's exam will be given on Wednesday, May 14, 2003. Students have the early morning examination. Review sessions at school (225) will begin on April 1 and continue EVERY TUESDAY after school (3:30-4:30 pm) through May 13 (the day before the exam). Review sessions are recommended for students to attend.** There will be no review session April 15, 2003 the day before spring break. Schedule of review topics: April 1 = Unit 1 (Constitutional Underpinnings of US Govt and Unit 2 (Political Beliefs and Behaviors); Week of April 8 = Unit 3 (Political Parties, Interest Groups, and Mass Media); April 22** = Unit 4 (Institutions of National Govt: The Congress, the Presidency, the Bureaucracy, and the Federal Courts); April 29 = Unit 5 (Public Policy); May 6 = Unit 6 (Civil Rights and Civil Liberties); May 13 Final review and practice exam, last minute discussions of student-topic choices... ** This unit review covers the major emphasis for the AP test.
