The Music room will be filled with wonderful sounds and smiling faces this year. Currently, we are working on these concepts. Kindergarten-listening, echoing, following directions, numbers and letters. First-taking turns, instrument ID, rhyming and listening to identify. Second-music reading, verse-refrain, and speaking-singing. Third-harmony, rounds and unison singing. Fourth-harmony review, rounds, ostinatos, countermelody and partner songs. Fifth-advanced harmony review, key signatures, major-minor and part ostinato playing on the xylophones.
