Here's a look at what's going on in January... 4 - Happy Birthday, Macy! 5 - Happy Birthday, Mariko! 8 - FLY 92 night...7pm 15 - Biography outlines due 16 - 1/2 day...11:30 dismissal 17 - rollerskating...6:30-8:30 18 - Happy Birthday, Cori! 20 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day...no school 24 - Biography report due / end of quarter 2 24 - Mrs. Reinisch's last day...boo hoo 27 - Welcome Back, Mrs. Brinkman! In Language Arts, we will be working on a historical fiction book called Number the Stars, by Lois Lowry. It is an award-winning book about a little girl's courage during the Holocaust. It is an outstanding book which I'm sure all of the students will enjoy. In Social Studies, we will continue to learn about the English explorers settling the New World. We will start by focusing on the New England colonies, and work our way south. In Math, we we'll be starting division with 2-digit divisors. It's not as tough as it seems, guys...we'll have fun with it, I promise! ***Don't forget to try the activities below to brush up on your multiplication/division facts and decimals!
