WELCOME TO THE CLASS PAGE OF MS. GERLINGER

St. Lawrence Student Creed: As a student of St. Lawrence I solemnly promise to work hard and always try my best.
  • I believe... I can use Jesus' Teachings to become a better student.
  • I will achieve... by studying and working hard on my assignments.
  • I will succeed... and become a good citizen of the world and a better follower of Jesus Christ.
  • Announcements

There will be an information meeting for Robotics for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the Teen Center. There will be a demonstration by Mrs. Ketell. If you are interested in joining, you are encouared to attend.

Students are expected to fully participate in Wednesday Mass. Participation means responding to Fr. Thuc during the homily, responding respecfully at all appropriate times, and singing. Participation also means that you are not disruptive or disrespectful. Showing up to Mass and sitting quietly does not count as participation. Which schoolwide learning expectation is this?

    Service Projects

    May Food Drive

This month Mrs. Anthony and the 5th grade are sponsoring a food drive to benefit those in need in our local community. We are doing this project with St. Justin. This program helps feed 2,500 members of the community each month.

We need: canned soups, macaroni and cheese, diapers, and baby food.

Donations of money will be accpeted as well (think loose change!).

    Science Camp

The final science camp payment is now due. Each student will receive a credit of $55 toward the balance. The final payment is calculated by subtracting the profit per student ($55) from the remaining balance ($101). The final payment is $46. Please make checks out to SLEMS.

Thank you to all parents who helped with the purchase and sales of ice cream. Your presence was appreciated by the students, and they truly enjoyed having their parents on campus. Thank you to Mr. Ghamous for organizing our team of volunteers. And especially, thank you to Mrs. M, without whom this fundraiser would not be possible.

I hope both science camp and the fundraising were positive experiences for each family.

    New York/Boston

There will be an information meeting for incoming 7th and 8th grade students and their parents who are interested in going on the New York/Boston 2010 trip. The meeting will be Tuesday, May 12th at 6PM in the science lab.
