Science Camp

Science Camp will be the week of March 30th-April 3rd at Caritas Creek in Cazadero, CA! An information meeting will be held on campus with a program leader from Caritas this fall.

Ice Cream Sales have begun. Thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered. Please remember that in order to volunteer on campus, you must have fingerprints and a TB test on file with the office. Mr. Ghamous has done a fantastic job coordinating this effort with the parents. A special thanks to Mrs. M. for being a big reason why this fundraiser is successful!

DC 2009

This year I am happy to be the program leader for the 7th and 8th grade trip to Washington DC. Our trip dates are April 14, 2009-April 18. 2009. This is an optional opportunity for all 7th and 8th grade students.

Bibles

Several students have asked me what Bible I use in the classroom. I have always been a huge fan of the NAB (New American Bible, a Catholic translation). In Religion class, we use the NAB Catholic Youth Bible. This is a great translation, with relevant information for teens. If you are interested in purchasing a bible for the home, this would be a great choice. I have also added a link to the useful links section of this page where students can access an online version of the bible, by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. This can be a great resource for assignments throughout the year.

Powerschool

When you view PowerSchool, you may notice some letter codes. Here is the key:

U = Unrecorded (This assignment has not yet been recorded)
RE = Redo (0 points) (The student has his/her paper and needs to redo and turn it in for credit)
M = Missing (0 points)
AB = Absent (0 points) (The student has the number of days absent to make up the assignment for full points.)
EX = Excused
INC = Incomplete (0 points) (The student needs to complete the assignment in order to receive a grade.)
If a number or assignment is in blue, click on it and more information will appear. Example, if you are curious to know what HW1 is, click on the link for a description.
