We will be studying another culture that began as a nomadic civilization. ISLAMIC ART is rich in tradition and reflects the culture but also the religion o its people. We will be looking at it in the form of RUGS. It's a great opportunity to work on the ART PRINCIPLE of PATTERN and different ways to structure VISUAL DESIGN - think: SYMMETRY, RADIAL SYMMETRY, REFLECTION and TESSELLATION!
