                             Thanks to You and Thanks to Dad

   One reason I am an English teacher is because of my father. Every night, he put me to bed with bedtime stories such as the Lone Ranger, Swiss Family Robinson, and my favorites - true stories from his own childhood. All of my life, I've been attracted to tales of all kinds - adventure, mystery, romance, humor, animal stories - so isn't it fitting that a fan of stories should be immersed in them as a a career?

   Yet, that's not the whole truth. What could be better than seeing a good-looking bunch of young people on a daily basis? My students keep me up on current events and teach me so much. I am very fortunate to be with students five days a week.

   Thanks to my students and thanks to my dad, I have the perfect career.
