Welcome to our Museum Stories!

We have spent a long time learning about portraits and landscapes. We went to TrekEarth to look at some amazing Oklahoman Landscapes. We had fun using these pictures to change the backgrounds of the computers in our lab. Soon our lab WAS an Oklahoman museum!

The Sensational Sixth Graders have learned how to use shadows, shading, color schemes and proportion in their portraits. They have also learned about abstract portraits. You can read some advice from their art teacher here. You DON'T have to take the quiz at all -- just push "start now" and read through it. Mrs. Adams has given us some very good advice, and we have been amazed at the results! You should read it!

Of course, the best part of learning about Oklahoma Historywas reading about portraits of famous Oklahomans!

PLEASE REMEMBER: The Oklahoma Museum that you read about in the Museum Stories is NOT a real place! But there are many, MANY awesome museums in Oklahoma, including the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Museum of Art.

Speaking of museums that aren't real, our FAVORITE museum activity was probably touring the Poptropica Musuem. This place is not only full of famous paintings, but you can talk to the painters themselves! Just follow that link and create a character. When you get to the Poptropica Universe, TURN LEFT and you'll find yourself at the museum in no time!
