 Spring has arrived at Coventry. Second grade has many exciting projects in the works. We are studying money and economics. Students earn money for good work and behavior then make economic choices about saving it, putting it in the bank to earn interest, or spending it at our class store on Fridays. The class is studying weather and learning how it affects people, animals, and plants. After spring break we will be planting seeds and observing the life cycle of Wisconsin fast plants as they go from seed to flower to seed in about 5 weeks. We will also be raising caterpillars and watching their life cycle as they grow, become a chrysalis, and finally emerge as Painted Lady Butterflies. Watch for updates about our Flat Stanley project, field trips, and Stanford 10 tests. It will be an exciting conclusion to a great year!
