Students you will create a 4 (four) page newsletter called The Computer Update Read the following and find out what is required in your newsletter. You will need to research many of these topics, remember to put this information down in your own words.

1. Create a logo for the newsletter. (Use Paint or Draw or clipart)Create three and pick the one you like best
2. Have someone take a digital photo of you. Place it in your folder on the desktop.
3. Research and write 10 articles. There can be more.
4. Every article must have an image.
5. Research the subjects below for article material:
A. The best internet sites for boys/girls
B. The new class on campus (Emerging Tech)
C. Computer news of the day, week, month
D. What is Robotics?
E. History of the World Wide Web
F. Important people in the History of Computer
G. Tip for the day. (Related to computers)
H. Dear Mr. Computer????? Create letter that might have been sent in by a reader - write a response. This must be computer related information.
I. Create a computer cartoon using cartoon sites. However, these are to be used on in case of white space availability.
J. Computers in the future.
K. Editorials - What have computers really done for us?

You may not have room for articles on everyone of these topics. You must decide on layout and what will fit. Be creative. This is your project and you are the editor. Grading of this project will be according to the following checklist.

1. Spelling/Grammar - 20pts
2. Layout (no white space, and or divisions)- 10 pts.
3. Logo - 30 pts. (on each page)
4. Graphics - 10 pts. (for every article)
5. Articles (information) - 20 pts. (Variety)
6. Use size 12 font for all articles. Headlines should be a 24 or better and bold or italized. - 10 pts.

TOTAL - 100 pts.
