MATH
Students are currently working on their perimeter, area, volume and circles unit. With this unit, students will describe and determine (using formulas) the distance around a polygon as well as the area of a square, rectangle and right tringle. Students will also differentiate between area, perimeter, and volume given a real life situation. When given a circle, students will identify the diameter, radius, chord and circumference. They will use formulas to solve for circumference and understand that pi equals 3.14. The test for this unit will be May 1st.

SCIENCE
Students are currently working on their Changing Earth unit. With this unit we will be investigating and understanding the rock cycle, fossils, structure of the Earth's interior, plate tectonics, weathering and erosion as well as understanding the human impact on the earth. The test for this unit will be May 8th.
