Lab #1: Diffusion and Osmosis (takes about 1 week to complete)

Lab #5: Cell Respiration (takes 2-3 days to complete)

Lab # 7: Genetics of Organisms *(Genetics of Drosophila (Virtual Lab) and Chi Square Analysis (Paper lab), 4-5 days to complete.

Begin Research Project #2: DNA Project due Monday, January 11th
B. Molecular Genetics
Chapter 16, 17, & 20 (Read pg. 287-399)
Lab # 6: Molecular Biology (Jan. 8-19, 2007), gel electrophoresis is done using Biotechnology DNA Loaner Materials from VPI Fralin Biotechnology Institute,
DNA Biotechnology: Manipulating DNA (paper lab) and Bacterial Transformation (hands on lab) takes about 1 week to complete all of these.
Test - Ch. 16, 17, & 20 and Lab 6
