   1. Proclamation of Faith
      Most consistently proclaimed reality
e.g. Passion and Death – historical event even  non         believers saw this
                 
                   Resurrection – only people of faith experienced the risen Jesus                                              Therefore Resurrection goes beyond history

2. Further evidence for accepting the Resurrection
a. Consistent belief of the early   Church   ( Acts, Paul, Gospels)

b. Empty tomb and the appearances of Jesus together testify to the reality of
                                         Resurrection

1. Romans would have produced a corpse if they could have found one
2. Did Apostles steal the body?
Apostles died as martyrs rather than deny faith in the resurrected Jesus

Following his Resurrection, Jesus passed totally into the presence of his Father

   2. In doing so he moved beyond our experience of the limitations of time and apace

   3. If God is totally present, if God is “right here and right now”, Jesus was actually becoming more fully and truly present to us that he could possibly be as he walked the roads of Palestine.
