Return of the remnant: 539 BCE Persians overcame Babylonians and allowed them to return to their native land - rebuilt Temple- 515 completed 18. Beginning of Judaism: Jew- Judah No longer a political nation under a king but rather a religious community under a new form of leader- High Priest
