Keep the parts of your report in this order unless otherwise indicated:
_____1. Choose a Spanish speaking country.
_____2. (5 pts.) Make a Cover Page including: Country, Your Name, Date
& Class.
_____3. (5 pts.) Write a Fact Page including general information. (population,
area, etc.)
_____4. (5 pts.) Include the Flag of your country somewhere in your report.
(cover page, fact page, etc.)
_____5. (10 pts) Draw a physical Map of your country. Include major
bodies of water, rivers, mountain ranges, cities, capitals, etc. (Use color.
It’s OK to trace this.)
_____6. (10 pts.) Write a working Outline of your report and turn it in to
Señora Orr before writing the body. Roman Numeral Format.

_____7. (50 pts.) Write the Introduction, Body, and Conclusion of your report
(inglés). It should be 3-5 pages typed and double spaced. Font size must be
12 -14. Margins must be 1 inch.
(Points will be taken away for extra large font sizes / spacing.)
It should be 6-10 pages written long-hand. (Points will be taken away for
large writing / spacing.)
Note:
The purpose of your report should be to inform others of the interesting
aspects of your country and its culture. You must write the report from one
of the following perspectives:
* Traveler
* Detective
* Reporter
* Guide
* Alien from another planet
* Anything else approved by me
Be sure to write the information in your own words. Grammar and spelling
will count.
_____ 8. ( 5pts.) Include a paragraph containing your observations and
comments about what you’ve learned in your report. Be sure to
include reasons why these things were of interest to you. This
should be located at the end of your written report and should be
clearly marked as Evaluation Paragraph. You may count this as
part of your 3-5 pages typed.
_____9. (5pts.) List your 3 (or more) sources in a Works Cited page
at the back of your report. this is not included in the 3-5 pages typed.
You must have at least 2 different types of sources.
_____10. (20 pts.) Include some type of “art” ( a drawing, collage,
sculpture, poster, etc.) that represents one of the cultural aspects of
your country. All artwork must be clearly labeled with your name, date
and class. You must also include a description of the artwork on a note
card or on the back of the work.(Neatness, detail, effort and color will
be considered.)
*Avoid using the flag as part of artwork - IF you must - Use fabric or
some other material to make it “especial”. Drawings are unacceptable
for the flag.
*Food - Food is permitted as part of you art presentation IF you include a recipe and a poster. I WILL NOT allow any food that needs to be refrigerated or heated. You must include at least a taste for around 30 students and napkins, etc. Be sure everything is prepared, cut etc. before you arrive at school. Chips and salsa are NOT acceptable; the food should be unique to the country you are studying.
______11. (35 pts.) Power Point Presentation. You will be paired with
another student who has your same country. You will combine the
highlights of your reports and create 10 slides. The purpose of the
presentation is to share the highlights of your project. Include those
things that most interested you. You don’t have to include everything!
Slide 1: The Title - Names - Flag - etc.
Slide 2 - 9 (or 4 slides per person): Include the highlights from the
report. You may use clip art and sound from the Internet. Be sure to
write down your sources.
Slide 10: Write a brief description and website address of each picture
or sound you used.
