Course Description:


In accounting, students study the basic principles, concepts, and practices of the accounting cycle by using a manual system.

Students will complete the steps of the accounting cycle.
Specialized accounting procedures will be implemented as they pertain to different types of business ownerships. br>Payroll and banking procedures will be implemented.
Students will implement accounts for special procedures which include recording depreciation of plant assets; uncollectible accounts receivable; record inventories; calculate and record notes payable and notes receivable, and prepare other costs of doing business.
Students will be able to identify characteristics of professional conduct as well as confidentiality concepts and policies. _______________________________________________________________

Class Expectations:

If you are having trouble keeping with pace of the class, see me for suggestions and possible out-of-class assistance. I don't want you to get frustrated, so let me know early if you don't understand. I don't want to wait for a test to find out you don't understand.
