Welcome aboard Shinning Seventh Grade students to the Computer Cruise Liner. As your Captain, I will provide you with project-based instruction that introduces you to the principles of Business in the 21st century. The curriculum will help you to use computers effectively in your life, while providing a connection of Business and Marketing concepts. This year I look forward to .

Curriculum will be introduced by direct instruction, videos, interactive lessons and demonstrations. I expect each passenger to give 110% during their 18 week time span on the Cruise Liner. When we dock at our different Ports of Call, passengers will participate in several different types of activities/projects.

Financial Literacy Lagoon:
Students will examine and apply the basics of economics and personal finance. Students will learn how money is made, saved, invested and managed. Students will learn and practice calculating simple interest.

Computer Apps Island:
Students will utilize computer software that includes MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and OneNote. Students will utilize web based games and activities to learn vital information to prepare for periodic evaluations.

21st Century Country:
Students will enhance and demonstrate employability skills such as communication, strong work ethics, time management, problem solving, organizational skills and professional image.

Literacy Lagoon:
Students will enhance reading in all curriculum areas. Students will build vocabulary knowledge daily.
