Peer Mediation Programs are found in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms. The goal is to create more peaceful schools in order to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning.

Peer Mediation is a process for resolving problems and conflicts by using trained neutral third party mediators. Peer mediators create a safe atmosphere, which allows disruptive students to tell their stories, while asking questions for clarification.

Learning skills of active listening, critical thinking and interest-based negotiation, will empower students to solve everyday problems with friends, other students, teachers, parents, and the community.
