Language Arts
Accelerated Reader
Students have their goals for the second nine weeks. This nine weeks the students will be climbing a bookworm. Progress reports will be sent home on Mondays.

Agendas
Students should write homework in, and take home their agenda daily. Parents need to sign agendas only after they have checked to make sure that homework has been completed.
Take Home Folders
Take Home Folders should be checked each day. Parents should remove only those items that are in the "Keep at Home," pocket of the Take Home Folder. The Take Home Folder will also have each student's Behavior Monitoring Chart in the "Return to School," pocket.
Homework
Homework continues to be an important part of our nightly routine. It is a supplement to what we do during the day and reinforces all the things we do at school. Students should be writing homework in their agendas--be sure to check that daily, as there will be something to do each night. Remember, homework should not take more than about 20 minutes to complete, in addition to reading each night.
We are continuously working on independence, responsibility, and organization.
