Welcome to Chemistry!
*My Moodle page contains all of the notes for each unit in chemistry. The notes are usually PowerPoints. The calendar on the right side of the page has a weekly schedule and homework assignments.
School Supplies for Chemistry
*pencils (easier to make corrections with)
*scientific calculator (you may want to check with your math teacher to see which one he or she will be using)
*lots of paper
*notebook to keep it all together
In order to be successful in chemistry, you should have a firm understanding of basic arithmetic and algebra. You may want to review basic functions with fractions, exponents, and single variable expressions.
I look forward to working with each and every one of you next year! Have a great summer!
Welcome to Chemistry
Chemistry focuses on the properties and reactions of matter. Through the course, students will develop skills associated with problem-solving and scientific inquiry. Students will be exposed to a variety of laboratory exercises, demonstrations, and technology applications to reinforce content.
Material covered will consist of, but not limited to, properties of matter, atomic structure and theory, bonding, energy, periodicity, organic chemistry, and acid/base characteristics.
General Class Information
I update my Moodle page every Friday. Check the calendar for upcoming events. My Moodle page is linked below along with an interactive periodic table. I will add additional useful links throughout the year.
My syllabus and class notes can be found on my Moodle page. Homework for the coming week is posted each Friday.
