This year we will blend reading comprehension with novel studies, poetry, mythology, research papers, media literacy, and writing. Extra attention will be given to nonfiction per directives from the Virginia Department of Education.

A NOTE ABOUT QUIA
Quia does not fit my curriculum design, so I am no longer using it. This site is open for the purpose of providing up-to-the-day links to what we do in class There are some Quia games for folks to play, but that is all. All other educational materials and news will be posted on Weebly. If students are given email addresses, I will open Moodle so that students can post to interactive, collaborative forums that are secure. I will not use technology that makes it easy for predators to aggravate our students! If you have questions about what your child is doing in ELA classes, please feel free to email me. Thanks.
