How to create specials characters on a Mac (no matter what software):
To create accents:
Hold Option+e, let go, and then type the desired vowel
To create ñ: Hold Option+n, let go, and then type n again
To create ¿, hold down option+shift and type the ?
To create ü: Hold down option+u, release and type u
How to create special characters in Word (PC):
To create accents: Hold Control+' (apostrophe), let go and type the vowel
Tilde "ñ" on a PC:
Hold Control+Shift+~ (left of 1), let go and type n
To make ¿, hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift and type ?
