IDEAS FOR ORGANIZATION OF YOUR PORTFOLIO-
Three-Ring Binder - This portfolio is something you will want to keep forever. It's a good idea to get a special three ring binder to store your artifacts.
Page Protectors - Page protectors will keep your artifacts neat and protected. You are less likely to lose small artifacts.
Ideas for adding Pizzazz to your Portfolio....
Fancy papers - You may want to print poems or quotes or other information on special papers with designs. There are many designs available by the sheet (about 29 cents a sheet). You can find these at craft stores like Ben Franklin and Michael's. They also sell paper by the sheet at Kinko's. You may want to buy an entire pack of paper at Wal-Mart or Office Max.
Trading paper- If you are interested in trading for a design that you do not have, there are many designs available on the counter in classroom. You must bring a sheet if you want to trade. Just replace any paper you take with another sheet. The paper in the room has been donated by YOUR TEACHER! (You're welcome!)
Draw/Color designs on portfolio entries
Cut pictures from magazines and glue with gluestick to decorate entries.
Photocopy pictures to include in your portfolio
*Color copies of family pictures are easy to do on the self service machines at Kinko's. (These are fairly inexpensive.) Then you can cut into special designs and decorate your portfolio entries. (Example: It would be fun to use a picture of you in your baseball uniform along with that poem you wrote about baseball! How about a picture of you with your mom to include with the poem you wrote about your mom?!)
