PowerPoint Mini-Project: A typical day at ___________. Using the format below, create a mini slide presentation to share with the class for our last meeting. The topic "A Typical Day at _________" was selected because it allows you to begin work on an open house/parents' night type of presentation for possible use next fall. Please use the project guidelines as a general outline to follow. However, if you have another idea for a project, feel free to try that instead! This project should take approximately three hours to complete...With an hour set aside for our presentation class, that will give us 10 hours total for PDP's. Below the project guidelines, I have added some ideas to "spice" up your presentations. See how many of the ideas you can incorporate into your project! Slides #2-3: Overview slide(s). These slides can explain the arrival time of students, morning work assignments, ordering lunch, etc. Slides #4-6: Subject area information,i.e.: Use these slides to explain the topics covered in Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies; this can also be used to explain Homework guidelines, etc. Slide #7: Specials i.e.: Gym, Music and Art; can be used to share meeting times and days, what to bring, etc. Slide #8: Ending/Conclusion Slide. Things to do to "spice up" your PowerPoint Mini-project: 1. Add background colors/patterns to your slides. 2. Change the size, font, color of text. 3. Add clip art to your slides. 4. Add sound effects to your presentation. 5. Add animations to text. 6. Add animations to your clip art. 7. Add transitions between slides.
