Welcome Back! Parents, this website is for you as well as your child to encourage communication. Parents, please have students return their schedules for next year.  Guidance is trying to work out the schedules for next year. February 19-22 Vocabulary this week: apprehensively gallantly unceasingly nonchalantly sensitively avoiding ornery winced sarcastically reckless definance quivering acquired stocky disgrace dumbfounded sassy clammy stalked gingerly Monday - No school Tuesday Continue working on The Outsiders. This is a novel the students are working on. Students, in general, did not do well on their vocabulary and spelling test last week. They were the above words. They are a little more difficult than they have had in the past. However, they need to begin working with more difficult words.  Students went over the test and and were told that there would be a retest on Thursday. Continued working through the sequencning of the first 5 chapters in the book. We have talked about the exposition of the book - setting up of the story. Students are encour- aged to continue reading the novel. HW. Crossword puzzle for the above words Also, I have attached a couple of games to play on the web to help them. Wednesday Continue working on the novel and then listen to the story on tape.  This is for those who are behind to get them caught up. Some students are not taking the responsibility for reading independently.  HW.  Study for the retest tomorrow. Thursday There will be a retest on last week's spelling and vocabulary test. They will then continue listening to the tape. Read chapter 7. Friday COMPREHENSION QUIZ for CHAPTERS 1-7 Continue working through the QUIZTIME packets for the Outsiders. Students should be finished with chapter 7. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through the school.
