All week: IRP - Summaries of 2 articles are due this Friday First section of IRP due Monday, Feb. 13 For last Friday, 2/10, each student needs to have written a summary of each of two selected articles, which they have, therefore read. At the bottom of the summary there should be two usable quotations from the article. These may be hand-written and should be about ½ page long, plus the quotations. Every Monday, two pages of the paper are due, typed. The first section, due Feb. 13, should include an introduction with a solid, well-thought-out thesis statement. It should also include the beginning of the body of the paper. Every 2-page section must have a two-entry bibliography (Works Cited page) attached, and every 2-page sections must have 4 internal citations in MLA style. Write section Intro and section I, due Feb. 13 Write Section II and 2 summaries of articles w/2 quotes, due Feb. 27 Write Section III, due March 5 Write Section IV, due March 12 Correct and compile your paper during Revision Week, March 26-29, as follows: Follow the Model for MLA paper in Hacker Introduction: Begins with general statement about topic, followed by introducing the research questions/ideas that you have selected, followed by your thesis statement, which tells the reader what your point is. Body: Each research question idea is discussed objectively Conclusion: Report findings and conclusions about the topic. Comment on subject matter in an insightful way. Citations: Four per section, minimum. Works Cited Page: Formatted correctly.
