The objectives of the course are to teach students to use the basic development tools to create computer programs. They are to work in a programming environment collaboratively, and to apply the principles of an acceptable use policy to computer program development. The course will allow students to explore the techniques used in computer games development. Students will use Alice, Game Maker and other tools to create computer game programs. Student created games will be evaluated, student skill in collaboration will be subject to evaluation, as will the students ability to function within the limits of the fair use of intellectual property of other developers. Students will receive high school credit.
All of my classes for the 2010-2011 year need a 1 inch 3 ring binder with pockets and a pen or pencil, and a 1 or 2 gig flashdrive.
