Online Dictionaries

Below is a list of online dictionaries and translators. Use them wisely. If you need to look up a word, remember not to trust the first word given, since many English words have more than one meaning.
I do not recommend using the online translators to translate sentences or paragraphs for three reasons.
1. It's cheating. I need to evaluate you on YOUR work.
2. I know what you are capable of doing. Therefore it is easy for me to tell if YOU wrote what you have turned in, or if you didn't.
3. Online translators are notorious for making mistakes. As I mentioned above, many English words have more than one meaning. The computer may not realize which meaning you want and will possibly make your work a lot worse than what you would have done on your own.
