Science News...We have started our Electricity & Magnetism unit. Virginia’s Natural Resources and Moving Objects notebooks should be kept at home since we have finished those units. Please look in next week’s “Classroom Express” for this week’s Mad Scientists!
Reading News...You will receive weekly newsletters about what we are learning in reading in the Friday folder. This newsletter includes the skill and vocabulary for the week, as well as spelling words for the week.
In Other News…
DARE Graduation…DARE graduation is Thursday, November 13, at 2:00. Families are welcome to attend. We look forward to celebrating with you as we hear our
class representatives read their DARE essays!
CHROME Club…The CHROME Club is starting again! Permission slips for this science, math, and technology club went home on Thursday,
November 6. Membership is on a first come, first served basis. Notes will be sent home informing you of your child’s acceptance to the club.
Fourth Grade Read-in!...The fourth graders will be participating in our Annual Fourth Grade Read-In on Wednesday, November 26! Students should dress comfortably on this day and can bring in a pillow, small blanket, and small stuffed animal. All items students bring in should be able to fit inside their bookbags (please, no comforters or giant stuffed animals). Students will be lying around with their friends enjoying great books and taking AR tests. This will be a “relaxing” day of reading, reading, reading!
