le francais I Week 1 Trimester 3---le 3 au 7 mars
     Due to the field trip and miscommunication regarding Tuesday's assignment, we will continue the movie until it's completion. The viewing guide will be due at that time. At the end of the week, we will go over Mots 1 Vocabulary, pages 186-7, and discuss cultural differences when grocery shopping. These words should be in your notebook with translations by Friday, and studied over the week-end. Your challenge for the current vocabulary topic is to use vocabubulary from class each time the item is encountered at home or in the grocery store if you happen to be in that situation.

le francais I Week 2 le 10 au 14 mars
     We will start the week with a vocabulary review with pictures. We will also do the AAB, Act 1-3, and the book activities, 1-5 (orally and in written form)...to turn in mardi....WKBK, ACT. 1-3 in class. Quiz over Mots 1, mercredi. Copy and practice new vocabulary, Mots 2, pages 190-191. These will be practiced jeudi,and vendredi, along with the AAB, and WKBK activities, 3-6. New verb, faire, will be presented at the end of the week along with some common "faire expressions".   Over the weekend, study the vocabulary and the new verb.

le francais 1 Week 3 le 17 au 19 mars
     Begin week with review of faire, faire expressions and food items with quantity expressions and the various articles. Practice with the AAB, and WKBK. We will also do the Historiettes and book activities orally and in writing...these will be turned in Wednesday, when you will have a "quest "over the material in this chapter. The practice test will also be assigned and collected. Have a wonderful relaxing Spring Break!

le francais I Week 4 le 31 mars au 4 avril
     Begin the week with a vocabulary review sheet and practice with some structures included there (quantities). review of the verb faire as well.   Introduce, practice...Know the verbs: vouloir and pouvoir...be able to use them in sentences! Correct quizzes on mardi. Go over the article usage-def/ indef/partitive...negative and affirmative. WKBK pages 158-159 as review for this, also p 162 for review of the 2 new verbs. Go over WKBK, then begin the new chapter...all new words should be copied into notebook with translations (1x)...Copied 3x each for vendredi. We will work a lot with this vocab orally in class, outside, please work on spelling and putting the words in a context. WKBK and AWKBK will be assigned for more written practice. Book activities will be assigned as well!!!

le francais I Week 5 le 7 au 11 avril
     We will start with a review of the Mots 2 vocabulary words (quiz this week on both sets of vocabulary, Mots 1 and 2) We will practice these with the AABK, the book activities # 7 - 11, and the WKBK, Act. 4-7. we will pick up 3 new verbs this week: mettre, voir and croire.   The last 2 are "boot" verbs! Vocabulary words copied 3 x will be due Wednesday, the day of the quiz. We will wrap up the week with comparisons..."more than"..."less than"... and "as...as." Again practice will be WKBK and book activities. Keep practicing outside of class on spelling, manipulating structures and vocabulary. The chapter test will be next week. The project "La Mode" will be due Thursday of next week.

le francais I Week 6 le 14 au 17 avril
    Last week was heavy on verbs...we will start the week with a review of mettre, voir, and croire..we will also look at another type of "Boot verbs" like essayer and payer that are conjugated like er verbs but go back to the infinitive base for the nous and vous forms...because of the better sound!   We will review the comparisons and check the WKBK from Friday. We will do translations as a review for the test which will be Wednesday...Don't wait until the night before to review the vocabulary and the grammar...there is a lot of material in this chapter! As you work on the Fashion project, make sure you refer to the rubric and check all spellings and noun genders...correctness is very important on the finished product.

le francais I Week 7 le 22 au 25 avril
     We will go over and correct the chapter 7 tests before starting Ch 8. We will practice the vocabulary from Mots 1 and 2....quiz on these Friday...Also the 3 x written will be due that day. We will do the book activities on pages 262 and 267 (write out and answer...hopefully we will have time to do them orally 1st in class. We will learn a new verb types that end in ir (explanation on page 268)..book practice afterward.   WKBK assignemts will include pages 79 and 81, activities 1-9. We will do a lot of practice of the vocabulary and grammar in class, so if you are absent, make sure that you practice on your own and review thoroughly before your return to school.

le francais I Week 8 le 28 avril au 2 mai
     This week will be fragmented due to standardized testing. We will have class only T and TH, during which we will review the vocabulary --Mots 1 and 2 (quiz Thursday) and the verbs that are regular and irregular -ir verbs. You will have review sheets on these...please review outside of class, as it will be much time away from the material in class. Assignment for Monday, when everyone is finally back in class is to read through the material on "quel forms", and write a summary of waht you understand of it and have 2 original examples using the structure correctly...same assignment with "tout" and it's forms.

le francais I Week 9 le 5 au 9 mai
     This week we will hopefully get back into the routine! We will start it with a quick review of the vocabulary and grammar from the 1st part of chapter 8. We will also look at the remaining grammar of this chapter (Quel/tout) and work with your examples that you did over the weekend as well as those in the book and workbook. The quiz over the ir verbs, quel and tout forms will be jeudi. This week we will be doing translations before the chapter test which will be next lundi. Keep reviewing outside of class! You will be getting your final review packet at the end of the week.

le francais I Week 10 le 12 au 16 mai
     The chapter 8 test will be mardi, not lundi of this week. Lundi we will go over the Assessment that you completed after the quiz vendredi. We will practice the vocabulary since it was finished before your standardized testing. Wednesday, we will begin another type of regulart verbs (-re) which is the last of the regular verbs. (There is a song for this one too!) In addition to these verbs we will work with demonstrative adjectives (this, that, these, those) We will be doing worksheets and workbook activities. Please start reviewing for your final...Finals will be here before we know it!!!
