Monday: Write each word three times in cursive
Tuesday: Find the definitions of the challenge words related to Egypt.
Wednesday: Write the Spelling words in a pyramid format
Thursday: Write a story using six of the challenge words.
Friday: Spelling and vocabualry test

Social Studies
Monday: group news article
Tuesday:news presentations
Wednesday: Reasearch and work on Egypt maps
Thursday: Ideas page in Egypt book / work on project
Friday: Egypt maps are due

Project / report due on February 1, 2001
Kids have already selected an Egyptian item to research. Each student has an information collection sheet and should be in the process of their research. We are constructing the items in class for the project.

Math
Monday: page 158 15-55 odd and 56, 57, 58
Tuesday: Least Common multiple 4-10
Wednesday: Lesson 3 / Part A- multiples, factors, and divisiblility
Thursday: Part B
Friday: Part C

Language Arts
Monday: Students should be gathering information about their chosen African American. Kids should also be reading their  biogrphy book at home each night.
Tuesday: Forgotten Heros- Chapter 2 questions and of Day 7 activity 3 (definition, synonyms, antonyms)
Wednesday:  C.S.A.P practice - no homework
Thursday: Poem analysis and Forgotten Heros - Chapter 3 questions
Friday: Forgotten Heros - Chapter 4
Train schdule (if not completed in class)

Book Report: The kids are reading a biography and need to complete a Jack-Daw and a book report sheet. This is due on February 16, 2001.

African American Report: Each student has selected a famous African American to research. The kids already have the information collection sheets, but need to access the internet and the public library for more information.
