*Read-aloud: Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen
*Free reading book: You should be finishing up your free
choice books at this point. Due Monday/Tuesday are
your book responses. THese should be done in your
Writer's Notebooks and should be about 1 page in
length. I'm not looking for a plot summary; at this
point you should be able to write more than just
what happens in the book. Rather, you should focus
on what experiences the character has and what those
experiences relates to our theme of Healing Powers.
*GRADE SHEETS ARE DUE and should be signed!
*Vocabulary definitions and magazine pictures due Wed/Thurs
*WRITING: 3 final drafts of your choice. Remember to take
a sheet from the appropriate folder. Those are meant
to help you and provide reminders and guidance for
your writing.
UPCOMING DUE DATES:
*3 FINAL DRAFTS DUE NO LATER THAN JUNE 10th. TURN IN
AS YOU FINISH THEM!
*VOCABULARY DEFINITIONS/PICTURES DUE May 22/23
*VOCABULARY TEST May 28/29
THE GIVER by Lois Lowry will be handed out this week. Begin reading on your own, complete the packet as you read. You should complete reading the book by June 12/13.
You need to also complete the web quest on THE GIVER. The address is included in your packet.
