Assignments for Unit One: Exploring Geometry

Section 1.0: Read pages 2-8 and begin doing the activities on pages 7 and 8 for your portfolio.

Section 1.1: Read and take notes over pages 9-12. Do problems 7-39 and 42-50 on pages 13-15.

Section 1.2: Paper Folding Activities. Do problems 14-29 on page 22

Section 1.3: Read and take notes over terms associated with triangles (pages 23-25). Questions on pages 26 and 27 will be reviewed in class. Do the Vocabulary Actitivity for Sections 1.1-1.3.

Section 1.4: Working with segment length - Read this section and do problems 10-23 on paper. We will be discussing problems 24, 27 and 28 in class.

Section 1.5: Measuring angles - Read over the section. Do problems 7-34.

Section 1.6 and 1.7: Read over both sections. Study the questions on pages 48-50 and pages 55-56 and be ready to answer them in class.
