Assignment for week of October 19th
This week we will focus on adjectives as we begin to review sentence parts and functions. Please click on the adjective link below. Read and interact with the text. Try the quizzes.
Vocabulary Assignments:
Word Sessions 1,2,3 (level 2,3 for each session). Please write each word in your notebook. Define the word. List its part of speech. Place each word on individual flash cards along with meaning and part of speech. Create an original sentence that reveals the meaning of the word. Finally, write each word and its definition 3 times in your vocabulary notebook.
Vocabulary Assignments for the month of November:
Each week, you are responsible for knowing 24 words or two worksheets.
Choose the correct word by writing out the sentence and choosing the word that shows its definition. Place these sentences and answers in a word document and email them to me. You are responsible for at least 6 words per night.
Look up each word in the dictionary; write it in your vocabulary notebook; write out the dictionary definition and part of speech of the word (if the word can be used as two parts of speech, then write them both; write out the dictionary sentence for the word; Create a sentence with context clues that reveal the meaning of the word. finally, write each word 3 times to practice its spelling.
