Dear parents,
Next Tuesday is our Valentine’s Day party. If you would like to send in a treat, please have your child bring it to school on Tuesday along with your child’s valentines for the class. The party will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Since the next two weeks are each only four days long, next week we will focus on our reading story and the spelling words for the tests on THURSDAY. The following week we will focus on verbs, vocabulary and antonyms, and long “I” words for the tests on Friday (2/24/12). Memory work will be heard each week.
Our next field trip will be on Friday, March 23. We will be going to the Maple Sugaring Festival at Olander Park in Sylvania beginning at 9:30 a.m. I hope you can come with us.
If you would like your child to receive Highlights Puzzlemania magazine at home, please fill out the form in this folder and return it on Monday. Even if you do NOT want the magazine, please return the form Monday because we receive classroom items according to the number of forms returned. Thanks.
We are still collecting shampoo until Feb. 19th. Thanks for your support. Remember Box Tops also!
Enclosed in this folder you will find the directions for a report on a particular Native American group that each child in the class needs to complete and return to me by March 5th. Please look over the directions carefully and ask me any questions you might have.
