Dear parents,
Another week has flown past. We have begun all of our subjects and went to all
of our specials this week. Please let me know of any concerns you may have. The
2nd grade handbook has many ways to contact me. I am eager to hear from you.
Beginning Tuesday, we will begin our 2nd grade spelling words and our 2nd grade
Trophies reading book. There will be 15 spelling words and 20 questions on the
reading test. Please remember to review each of these with your child before the
tests on Friday.

Next Wednesday we will be reviewing our chapter in science preparing for the
test on Monday, Sept. 13. Your child will be bringing the textbook home along
with a review sheet and all the workbook pages that were completed during class.
Please help your child review the material for the test.
We will be collecting toothbrushes for the needy all month. Thanks for your
generosity.
Reader of the Day will begin next week. If your child is going to be a reader, a
note will be in this folder. Please help your child know all the words in the story.
